1. What is Dexes?
Dexes provides solutions that make the responsible sharing of data between public and private parties easy.
Dexes is a Dutch startup.
Our platform supports the Amsterdam Data Exchange (AMdEX), the DMI ecosystem, and the Joint Data and Document Catalogue (GDC).
The Dexes marketplace is built using the European dataspace standard as its blueprint. This allows all participants to get started quickly. Whether you want to securely exchange simple files with trusted partners, collaborate on major urban projects, or sell access to your API connections, the Dexes marketplace offers all the possibilities. It is also possible to offer data-related products such as consultancy, training, applications, computational models, or sensors.
2. How does Dexes differentiate itself from other marketplaces?
When you offer your product through Dexes, you decide under which conditions it may be accessed. This can be based on price, terms of use, purpose limitation, certification, and more. Dexes helps participants define exactly the right conditions so that all internal and external requirements are met. The Dexes marketplace gives you a clear overview of all your outgoing requests, incoming inquiries, and established agreements. This provides a single place to manage offerings, authorization, and access.
Five distinguishing features of the marketplace:
Reliable connection to DMI
Ensures compliance with agreements, controlled access, and correct use of data and services.
Scalable solutions
Supports a wide range of applications, from simple to complex — from document sharing to federated AI training.
Own hub or marketplace
Provides the ability to set up your own environment with specific agreements and participants.
For advanced applications
Suitable for AI, digital twins, and other data-driven solutions, for both humans and machines.
Future-proof
Supports Dutch and European standards; ISO 27001 certification is in preparation.
